alright back from OCIp which was simply awesome:)
day 1
welll got up at 8.30 and went to the airport with dad and bro got on thai air which was pretty good yeah got off and got on the van then it was a 6 hr bus ride before dinner which was at this place infested with flies and like playing games like johnny woosh johnny whoosh i FINALYY GOT IT....ok then a super bumpy ride up a slope alot of twist and turns arrived at a hotel that looks like half a motel at 8? then checked in slept with terence yeah that sounded wrong anyway DK hotel was a pretty pleasant place....awesome got to bed at 12
day 2
Got up at around 6.45 bathed and headed down for breakfast which was thai noodles with pigs innards it was really warm and awesome cos the air was really cold in the morning then headed down to the school it was called rocky mountain school cool name huh then we started with a little walk around the area where the villages are hiding after being chased away walked up to this relatively high hill where it is a pagoda on a cliff no barriers yeah i was preety freaked out cos ITS FREAKING HIGH then went back to the soccer played soccer and takraw with the kids they are PRO GAY SHIT AT EVERYTHING REALLY yeah was fun then we did a few introductions and taught the kids addition subtraction as well as some english well taught grade 2 with marilyn and an hr ltr we ran out of things to teach....ouch then it was more games again VOLLEYBALL AS USUAL THE KIDS WERE PRO GAY SHIT AND THEN IT WASD THE END OF THE DAY THE KIDS WENT BACK HOME SO DID WE HEAD BACK TO THE HOTEL
mrs leong brought us out for dinner which was awesome and eve4ryone met at room 310 to play ASSASIN AND THGEY WERE HOOKED HAHAHA
Day 3
We went to the school early in the morning to have breakfast with the kids then reality struck it was soooo cold they had to set up mini fires to warm themselves up anyway had breakfast with the kids sticky rice and salted fish which was awesome then we headed out on our walk we arrived at this long flight of stairs up a mountain it was no joke climbing went all the way up with much sweat...but the kids just ran and ran and ran and ran on the top of the steps was a relic of the buddha's foot print and well the view was worth it went down and continued our hike to the moei river which was the river that divided myanmar and thailand we had an awesome and wet time with the kids. yeah then it was back to the hotel
Day 4,5
We went back to the school to teach aqnd play with these over energetic kids and yeah they really bring a smile to you face and fortunately or unfortunately they tried to pull my shirt up and mr leong loves to take pictures:) hahahahahah...Mr. and Mrs. Leong still rock the same:)
Day 6
we had a performance by the kids they did their traditional dance which was very interesting and their traditional pole dance(not what you think it is) we performed for them our mass dance haha we had a grt time:) then we played games and the guys including mr leong played volley ball and gosh it was hard hahahah...then it was time to leave these kids there were tears indefinitely and yes the kids would definitely be missed
day 7 was travel day was up at 5.30 argh tired everyone wanted to slp in the van but the ride for 1.5 hours was crazy bumpy and alll my head was not still for more than 30 sec. then we stopped for breakfast. went to 7-11 to buy chewing gum in the end spending 300 baht there then it was shopping frenzy with a factory outlet there along with a traditional snacks shop eventually got to the airport and was in transit for 2 hrs hanging out at bk which was freak expensive...... then got on a plane home sweet home
after this trip i have learnt how to appreciate what we have something 9 in 10 ppl take for granted citizenship and well i will definitely miss bthe kids and given the chance i will go there again this trip has changed my life i look to things more positively now and well...i just feel like a changed man hahahahaha...sounds so weird but true:)
